Cherrywood

The Community Vision

Cherrywood is a community inspired by its relationship to the the surrounding mountain landscape. With this community, it was our intent to develop visibly sustainable homes that preserve and enhance the site’s natural character. Sustainability is an important issue, not only for reasons of environmental conservation, but also because of economy.

Cherrywood homes were constructed according to ‘Build Green’ Principles, with a minimum Gold Rating. These principles maximize utility efficiencies, help to minimize water consumption and utilize sustainable environmentally-friendly products. There were several options to choose from, including 2- and 3-bedroom designs featuring walk-outs, basements or a variation of buyers’ own plans.

Building Homes In Cherrywood

The Cherrywood design team worked step-by-step with homeowners as we built their home, from choosing a lot, to tweaking plans, to specifying finishes to suit their lifestyle and budget.

Our home plans reflected the name of several indigenous species, which can be found in the Kootenays and throughout British Columbia. These included:

  • The Trillium
  • The Heather
  • The Calypso
  • The Yarrow
  • The Clover
  • The Saskatoon
  • The Aven
  • The Aster
  • The Wildrose
  • The Lily
  • The Laburnum
