Parastone has led several landmark developments in the City of Fernie, the District of Fernie and other East Kootenay communities. These have included residential, commercial and historical developments.
Over the years, however, we have done much more than build great new spaces. We have created new neighbourhoods and lifestyles while meeting the growing residential needs of our area. Everything we do incorporates innovative sustainability concepts and a commitment to enhancing life in the beautiful Elk Valley for both residents and visitors alike.
We have several developments projects underway. Click on the projects below to learn more about them.
Set on over 600 acres of pristine natural beauty, the Montane Fernie community offers you the opportunity to live where you play. Fully serviced lots and mountain modern homes with 360⁰ panoramic views of Fernie’s iconic mountains and access to over 20 kilometres of biking, hiking and groomed cross-country skiing trails.
Located in the Sparwood Heights area of the District of Sparwood, Cherrywood is a community inspired by its relationship to the surrounding mountain landscape. It was our intent to develop visibly sustainable homes that preserve and enhance the site’s natural character. Cherrywood homes are constructed according to “Build Green” Principles with a minimum Gold Rating.
Parastone Developments constructed 20 homes at the Vantage Point Subdivision, which is located on the future Fred Couples-designed Golf Course at Whiskey Jack Resorts. There were five distinct house plans with an additional four variations of those plans, including walk-out features, basement areas and outdoor spaces.
Located in downtown Fernie, Veneto Place features 45 units in total. The project is 100% attainable housing and meets the criteria of the Affordable Home Ownership Program, in association with BC Housing. There are three buildings in total with 15 units over four levels in each building.
The Parastone team commenced with a redevelopment of this 12-unit apartment complex. The results provided additional and much-needed rental units to the community with newly renovated apartments for existing tenants.
